Meg Foreman - Director/Psychologist

Meg Foreman is the Director of Sunrise Psychology & Health, establishing the practice in 2014.
​
​Meg is a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Meg is very experienced in the field of Psychology, having worked in a range of areas including; Occupational Rehabilitation, private and public health settings, hospitals and General Practice for over 19 years.

Meg believes in a holistic approach to care, recognising that psychological symptoms can be multi factorial and require a range of treatment approaches. Meg enjoys working alongside other health professionals in order to obtain the best treatment outcome for her client. 

Meg utilises a range of therapies including; CBT, Mindfulness, Psycho-education, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Behavioural Therapy.


Clients Meg works with;

  • Adolescents
  • Adults
  • Couples
  • NDIS participants
  • Workcover and TAC claimants​


Meg is also a qualified Personal Trainer (Cert III & IV Fitness and Nutrition Coach - Australian Institute of Fitness)


Dr Melanie Strang - Psychologist

  

Dr Melanie Strang is a Registered Psychologist who supports adults. 


She uses a combination of therapy modalities including:

· Internal family systems

· Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR)

· Emotion-focused therapy

· Compassion-focused therapy

· Supportive and person-centred psychotherapy

· Cognitive behavioural therapy 

· Acceptance and commitment therapy

· Neuro-divergent affirmative practice

· Trauma informed practice


Melanie sees adults with a range of concerns including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, low self-esteem, binge eating disorder and emotional eating, grief, parenting, perinatal depression and anxiety, relationship concerns, transition issues, autism spectrum, ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD, developmental and attachment trauma. 


Melanie also has an interest in seeing couples who are seeking to create a more secure and safe relationship.


With an initial career in Medicine (in particular, psychiatry), Melanie has a broad and deep understanding of mental health. She is the author of Motherlove: Embracing the ups and downs of becoming a new parent.

Darren Rose - Psychologist / Physiotherapist

  

Darren is a Registered Psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults, providing tailored support to address a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs. 


He draws on evidence-based approaches to help clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and neurodevelopmental disorders. 


With a warm and collaborative style, he creates a safe and supportive environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical strategies to foster resilience and positive change.


Darren works primarily with children, adolescents and young adults. He is also dedicated to providing evidence-based intervention to his clients as well as their families. 


Darren is also a qualified Physiotherapist.

Sarah King - Counsellor / Learning Diversity Educator

  

Sarah is a Level 2 Certified Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association.


Sarah has over 20 years’ experience in education across primary and secondary school settings. She has a vast array of experience with children and young people, particularly with neurodivergence.


Sarah works with children and adolescents and their families to ensure the young person is supported through the complex challenges that many young people face. Sarah’s experience in schools gives her a unique perspective of the school system, allowing her to provide understanding to the child’s family about services that can be offered and ways to facilitate this with their school (if required).


Sarah is experienced in the areas of; grief and loss, school refusal, self-harm, ADHD, trauma, neurodivergence and special education. She draws on a variety of therapeutic interventions to offer counselling services unique to the client’s needs.


Sarah works with children (including NDIS participants). A mental health care plan is not required to see Sarah.

Laura Burrows - Psychologist

Laura is a Registered Psychologist.

  

Laura has experience in psychology and as a behaviour support practitioner. Laura adopts a compassionate and collaborate approach with her clients. This gives her clients a safe space to assert their own autonomy within the therapeutic process which helps to improve self-esteem, wellbeing and personal identity.


Laura utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, helping clients to examine their own beliefs and values and assists clients to live their best life.


Laura is experienced in working with a range of clients across the life span including;

  

· Children

· Adolescents

· Adults

· NDIS participants

· Providing parent education

Genevieve Anderson - Psychologist

Genevieve is a Registered Psychologist, experienced working with first responders, psychological injuries in the workplace, perinatal challenges, life transitions, and within mental health inpatient clinics. As a result, she is comfortable with the complexities of psychological unrest and distress.
​
Prior to her career in psychology, Genevieve was a member of the Australian Army which has given her an inside knowledge of the defence force structure, and defence related mental health concerns.

Genevieve is experienced in the delivery of the following therapies; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy.

Genevieve sees adults with the following presentations;

  • Depression;
  • Anxiety;
  • Stress;
  • Trauma;
  • Phobias;
  • Pre/postnatal difficulties;
  • Adjustment disorders.


Genevieve sees clients via telehealth/video consults only.
